Assistant Itasker Hollins, Sr.
In 1955, Itasker Hollins and Julia Fisher met at Nash
Temple Church of God in Christ
(C.O.G.I.C). They were married on September 3rd, 1957. Committing and dedicating
their lives to the Lord and to each other they began their family and had three
daughters and one son.
Together they worked faithfully and diligently without
fail at Nash Temple
for twenty years in the areas of Sunday School, YPWW, Usher Board, Deacon
Board, Choir, and Junior Choir. While living the Christian life at home, job
and church, Itasker Hollins received AA degree from Sacramento City College
and furthered his education in the School of Business Administration at California
State University, Sacramento.
Upon accepting his calling to the Ministry in 1971, Itasker
Hollins became
a Licensed Minister. In 1973, he was ordained as an Elder by Bishop B.R. Stewart,
Prelate of the California Northern First Jurisdiction. Two years later the
Lord spoke to Elder Hollins, and showed him that it was time to expand his
ministry by becoming a Pastor.
In 1975 Elder and Sister Hollins began services at the
Oak Park Methodist
Church with just their children, Elder Hollins' late mother, District Missionary
Viola Hollins and several children from their neighborhood. Pastor Hollins
chose the name of his late father's, Pastor Booker T. Hollins, Sr., ministry,
"All Nations C.O.G.I.C." Elder Hollins was installed as Pastor
by
the late Bishop S.R. Martin of the California Northwest Jurisdiction.
In 1976, the Lord led Pastor Hollins to a building at
3939 Broadway, in the
heart of Oak Park. Elder and Sister Hollins purchased, rehabilitated and remodeled
it with the help of the membership and friends. Two years later, 1978, the
church was paid in full and a mortgage burning ceremony was held.
In 2001, Pastor Hollins was appointed to the office of
District Superintendent
by Bishop J.W. Macklin of Hayward California, Prelate of the NorCal Metropolitan
Jurisdiction (NorCal). Superintendent Hollins then founded the Sacramento
Metropolitan District (SMD). As District Superintendent, Pastor Hollins oversees
10 churches located in the Sacramento area.
Envisioned by God, for over 30 years, Supt. Hollins has
developed and implemented
various ministries, seventeen in all, to serve the membership and the Oak
Park Community. These programs have included, a Food Closet, a Annual Home
Buyers Seminar, various Financial classes, Jail and Prison Outreach ministry,
Yearly Prostate and Breast Cancer Seminars, Computer and Internet training
classes, a Student Study and Tutoring program, and a host of other ministries
to serve both the natural and spiritual needs of each person.
Supt. Hollins has received numerous awards over his distinguished
career
including a resolutions from the Honorable Deborah Ortiz, 6th Senatorial District,
commending him on his spiritual and civic leadership,and from the Sacramento
City Council, recognizing him for his many contributions in the Oak Park community.
Superintendent Hollins invites all to enjoy the Lord and
worship God with
the All Nations Church Family. There are three Sunday services, 8:00am, 11:30am
and 7:30pm. Weekly Bible Study convenes on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm. Friday
night worship begins at 7:30pm. Please feel welcome to visit All Nations Church
